Find Your Way!

The Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative (BJTI) helps high school students connect with their Jewish peers and explore their (Jewish) identities and relevant topics in a safe, welcoming, space.  We offer three primary programs for 8th-12th grade students from all affiliations, backgrounds, schools, and Jewish identities in the Greater Boulder Area:

A pluralistic year-long program that is distinctly different from other Jewish teen experiences by approaching participants as a whole person and utilizing experiential education modalities. Students meet new peers while participating in student centered experiences, and 8th grade specific skill building.  We explore topics ranging from identity development, cooking, Israel Narratives, and peer pressure. Participants will grow into a more resilient young adults, informed global citizens, and modern Jews.

Jewish Culture Clubs

These clubs offer a space at local high schools for students to meet new peers, engage in experiential learning and explore upcoming Jewish holidays, current events, and topics that our students choose through Jewish frameworks. We support student leaders in running these clubs in five public high schools across the Greater Boulder area.

Teen Advisory Board

The space where our Jewish Culture Club presidents gather to polish and practice their leadership skills and collaborate to design content and activities for our high school clubs.  Our board meets monthly to plan the club curricula one month at a time.

BJTI is a program of the Boulder Jewish Community Center and funded by Rose Community Foundation.
