Find Your Way!
The Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative (BJTI) helps high school students connect with their Jewish peers and explore their (Jewish) identities and relevant topics in a safe and welcoming space. We offer three primary programs for 8th-12th grade students from all affiliations, backgrounds, schools, and Jewish identities in the Greater Boulder Area:
NaviG8 is a unique program that brings together Jewish 8th graders to make new friends and learn together. We explore topics affecting teens in their lives like personal and religious identities, peer pressure, and transitions to high school in a fun and low-pressure environment. We cook together, learn about Israel, and play games like Gaga to build our relationships. NaviG8 is designed to help teens grow into more resilient young adults, informed global citizens, and modern Jews.
Jewish Culture Clubs
Join your friends and make new ones at our Jewish Culture Clubs. Stop by for lunch or a snack and an activity planned by your peers. In the past we've braided challah, practiced Shabbat yoga, made beeswax Havdalah candles, and tasted Israeli foods. Clubs meet at Boulder High, Dawson, Fairview, Monarch, and New Vista. If you're looking to start a club at your school, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Teen Advisory Board
Join club presidents from all of our Jewish Culture Clubs to plan together, inspire one another, and troubleshoot common issues. We focus on building leadership and facilitation skills and work together to develop a creative club curriculum
BJTI is a program of the Boulder Jewish Community Center and funded by Rose Community Foundation.
